I want to buy this game from the Xbox live marketplace but it’s an original Xbox game rather than a 360 game and I don’t have a hard drive for my 360 – I’ve been using an external hard drive as storage for other games and I haven’t had a problem with that (touchwood), but I heard that in order to play original Xbox games on the 360 I need to have a hard drive. Will my external hard drive do the trick if it’s a digital download rather than a physical copy of the game? I don’t want to buy it and then find out that it’s useless :\ Thanks in advance (:
Answer: No, backwards compatibility like that requires an Xbox 360 Hard Drive on the system. Other hard drives like yours lacks the required data for the backwards compatibility to work.
